What’s your story?
I graduated from the College of Charleston in 2011 and ended up going into IT by chance, as I had worked in the computer lab during undergrad. I started working in IT at an insurance company in South Carolina. My husband works in sales, and we moved to Utah in 2013 for his job, and I continued in IT for a large healthcare company. I started feeling like I needed to expand my technical knowledge to progress my career in IT, and around that time my husband’s job brought us to New Mexico. I found the MS-ISA program at Anderson and it seemed like a perfect fit to bridge my IT career experience with my business undergrad degree.

What are your career goals?
After graduating, I want to go into a management role, preferably in healthcare IT.

Have you completed an internship? With who?
No internships but I previously worked for Colonial Life Insurance Company and Hospital Corporation of America, and I currently work at Anderson at the STSC and as a TA.

What’s your story?
How did you end up at Anderson? – I’m born and raised in a small town in Sweden. When I was in high school, I started looking into coming to the US to get an American education. What lead me to UNM and Anderson was my golf. I have played golf my whole life and the coaches for the women’s golf team here wanted me on their team. I have always wanted to pursue a business degree in college and to combine my golf and still study business at Anderson was the perfect match. As soon as I got my eyes on UNM and Anderson there was no hesitation that this was the place for me.

What are your career goals?
I want to purse a career within marketing after graduation. My dream is to eventually become a marketing manager for a big and well-known company where I can impact consumers with marketing that focuses on sustainability and equality. For example, I really like Nike’s and Libresse’s marketing campaigns.

What’s your story?
My desire to understand the intricacies of Data science management, after pursuing a degree and working in the field of Information technology, has landed me at Anderson school. My path to arriving at Anderson school has been the most wondrous one. After having moved to the US in July of 2018, I was keen on pursuing a degree in Information Security. In my brief time here at UNM, Anderson, I have met the most wonderful support staff. As a graduate student in the MS-ISA program, I hope to fulfil my desire and be an integral part of the support culture to my fellow and incoming students at UNM.
